Where Have I Been?! Halloween Costumes in the Desert?!

I’ve been deployed for the past 5 months! I know, I know…I didn’t actually tell anyone. I’m on my second deployment and it’s almost over.
I’ve learned so much these past 5 months. I’ve lost a treasured friendship but life goes on. I’ve also lost a few friends that paid the ultimate sacrifice. I’m extremely thankful to be able serve with present and past members. I have so much respect for all of my coworkers. I’ve watched a dad coach his son through Facebook Messenger, a mom talk her daughter through cracking an egg, a brother (my boss) give the toast at his brother’s wedding, and so much more. I don’t have a family of my own just yet but it makes my heart smile seeing the guys over here make every effort to keep up with the daily lives of their family.
I cannot wait to get back to my dog. LOL! I remember when I thought I was going to have give him away. The 5 families that was going to take him in ALL backed out. So literally a week before leaving, I was typing a Craigslist post in tears. Although, there were 7 individuals from Craigslist that offered taking him in during my time away, my coworker took him. There is still some good in the world, despite what CNN wants to broadcast. I just cannot wait to see my little bud.
Anyway, that’s enough. Enjoy some pics of my deployment, thus far. Ooooh I forgot to mention that I’m Team Crossfit now. Watch out!!

Also, I started vlogging. I’ve always loved recording my life but I was just afraid to put it on the internet. I’m a basic beginner. Like, NO editing skills whatsoever. I wanted to put my GoPro to some use. I should have more adventures once I return to the States.

Another thing, do any of guys get overwhelmed with Snapchat and Instagram? I want to stick with one platform but I feel like all of my stories should be on both. As far as stories, I am leaning more toward Snapchat. It just seems easier.
